Placenta Prints

Placenta prints are a family treasure. Each print is unique and artfully displays the size, shape, and general appearance of the placenta. Both the maternal and fetal sides of the placenta can be imprinted. It is the fetal side that is highly sought after, as the imprint from the fetal side is why the placenta is referred to as “the tree of life”. Your print can be framed as a piece of art to hang on the wall in your child’s room, or other area of your home, or you can keep it as a personal keepsake in a scrapbook, journal, or photo album, etc.

The prints are done before any washing or preparing of the placenta occurs, as it is the natural placenta blood that creates the print, and the prints are done on acid-free artists paper. Because it is the natural placenta blood that creates the print, they need to be kept out of direct light or sunlight, and, if framing, framed using light protective glass. Keeping your print out of direct light or sunlight is the best way to preserve it for a long-time. Placenta prints are fully compatible with all other placenta services.
